Explore the fascinating 350 year history of the Royal Marines. Take a walk through time from 1664 and learn about the lives and stories of the extraordinary people who have become Royal Marines. Follow a recruit through training and on to deployment around the world. Creep through the jungle, marvel at the medal collection and take a trip down memory lane in our World War Two home-front kitchen. Finish your day with a browse around the Museum shop and enjoy our ideal seafront location.
Royal Marines Museum opening times
November – March from 11.00am to 3.00pm. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays except for Hampshire school holidays and half terms.
Last admission is at 2.30pm.
Open all bank holidays. Closed 24/25/26 December and New Year's Day.
Please note: The Museum will be closed from 1st April 2017 in preparation for a move to new premises in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.

There is a large Museum car park available for visitors which is payable on the day. For cyclists, a cycle rack is available under the main stairs at the Museum entrance.
